Steamforged to create and deliver RuneScape games

  • Today, Jagex has announced plans to tackle the issue Cheap OSRS Gold. In a blog entry and attributed to "The RuneScape Team", the publisher states that "gold purchased through RWT is a concern in any online game featuring the possibility of trading currency" however, even though its "Anti-Cheating Team has done much in the fight against RWT sellers both inside as well out" but it is taking more drastic measures with immediate beginning.

In a statement, Jagex claims to have a "growing team and improved technology", Jagex says it will not be merely focused on sellers of gold and other resources via RWT but as well buyers. The aim is to limit the demand, as well as supply.

Jagex promises to have to send "messages to those that we've identified who are involved with the RWT" within "the next few hours". "For anyone who has been involved, we want to emphasize that this is your sole all-encompassing warning" the company added.

Other measures that the developer might look at as punishment for RWT activities are expected to include wealth removal , which is basically the removal of gains earned by players' accounts at an server level and possible bans.

RuneScape's PvP element, also known as the Duel Arena, will also have stricter rules in place. Jagex states that the feature "has been a trigger for this destructive behavior" and that 38 per cent of bans on RWT actions up to now are due to this part in the game. It says that already amounts to "thousands of bans every month".

In the end, the developer appears to be taking the extreme route of saying rs07 gold "we're planning in the long run to phase through the Duel Arena out of RuneScape entirely." Until then it will be implementing "some small-scale measures" to clean up PvP "until our development teams have the ability to release an update major enough to completely will replace the Duel Arena next year."
